Verbal communication is the expression of ideas or feelings through words and includes speaking, reading, and writing. Nonverbal communication is the expression of information without words, including nonverbal gestures, facial expressions, posture, and distance. Communication often involves a mix of verbal and nonverbal aspects, such as writing, speech, visual presentation, audio, or nonverbal cueing.

Communication is an important aspect that allows individuals to pass messages through the use of verbal and nonverbal cues. While there are differences between verbal and nonverbal communication, the two approaches are applied mutually or independently depending on the context or nature of communication.
