The headline that produced an emotional reaction was about minor mass killings in a school. The headline was: "Serbia school attack: Silence and teddies at scene of shooting" on the BBC homepage. /news/world-europe-65479121

What emotional response did it produce in you? Use specific examples to support your response. 
The headline got my attention, and I felt concerned about the increasing violence between Ukraine and Russia. Worse, as I read through, for instance, the blame game on the attempted attack on the Russian president and persistent attacks on Kyiv, Ukraine, aroused serious emotions. I also wondered about the effects of such violence on innocent civilians and the impending potential of conflicts escalating.

What emotional response did it produce in you? Use specific examples to support your response. 
This headline made me sad about mass shooting where a 13-year-old boy enters a school with a fellow student and kills some using a premeditated list. For example, it aroused my concern for the victims' families and those at the hospital. Also, it made me wonder why a boy at such a young age would walk to school with a shotgun and attack the victims and despite its ramifications on the community.

Where on the homepage was the headline placed?
The headline was prominently on the landing homepage of CNN, just below the advertisement banner. It was categorically placed in the middle of the page such that it was between other news headlines but caught the audience's sight. Apart from being strategically positioned, the headline is placed with bold headings, unlike the headings below with a picture of children sitting down.

Where on the homepage was the headline placed?
The headline was significantly placed on the BBC landing home page in the 'News' section, ranked second. The headline is placed so web visitors can see the news from Europe. Moreover, the placement of the headline is in bold and written in bold. This guarantees that it is easy to see and also supported by an image of people paying tribute.
