Residential development in most towns has taken a sharp increasing trend throughout the beginning of the 21st century. Many Canadian cities have a distinct increase in the development of both their residential areas as well as the upgrading of town office space and commercial buildings. Most of the secondary cities and towns have recorded a gradual increase in the number of houses being constructed throughout the year due to the increasing level of pressure on the buildings. For most developed countries, it can be noted that most of the cities are going through rapid re-urbanization of the old town structures into effective township systems that can cater to the needs of the towns in a better way (PwC & the Urban Land Institute, 2019). Real estate management for the developing countries has also seen a rapid improvement in terms of the nature of the designs and the size and capacity of the building being built up especially in the central town zones of the major cities. Most medium-sized cities in most places around the world have been noted to be stretching into the outskirts of town to contain the pressure of the town capacities. This paper summarizes the “Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2020” indicating the trends, opportunities, and the problem areas that are likely to shape the Canadian development strategy.
