Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory primarily focuses on employee satisfaction by assuring some five categories of basic needs. These basic needs categories include physiological and safety which are regarded as the main ones. The others have belongingness and love, esteem, and finally, self-actualization. Therefore, it is because of its focus on the mentioned categories of basic human needs that make the theory relevant to Shopify and other institutions in the e-commerce or online industry.
