Code of Ethics Name of Student Institution Affiliation Code of Ethics Code of Ethics The code of ethics is basically the fundamental principles of organizations that employers and employees are expected to follow. These principles ensure that the business is carried out through integrity and honest behavior (Ethics, 2019). In this assignment, ten significant elements of the code of ethics that will be implemented in ABC Company are mentioned. There are several issues that fall under the business umbrella including the relationship between the employer and employee, discrimination, and responsibilities, etc. Although different laws are present to sort out these kinds of issues, organizations usually have their own code of ethics by which various crucial decisions are sorted out (CFA, 2019). These ten elements are chosen so that the mission and values of the organization can be followed and all the important decisions are made in the light of standardized principles that are mentioned below: * It is significant for all the employees to work with integrity in order to reflect a positive impact on the mind of the consumers * Maintaining an ethical environment in which everybody is treated with diligence and respect * The interests and benefit of the clients should be placed before personal interests * Every decision must be made by keeping customers and their credibility in mind. * Motivate others to behave in a manner that depicts extreme professionalism of their respected profession * Compliance with the values and rules of the organization in order to avoid any scenario that has the potential to harm the organization * Any type of harassment, discrimination, and bullying is prohibited on the premises. The employees should be given opportunities and reorganization with respect to their individual skills and hard work. Race, ethnicity, gender, marital status, and age, etc. should not come in between the success of the employee. * The environment of the workplace must be non-violent and peaceful. The safety of the workers held great significance; therefore, violent and threatening behavior will not be entertained. * Any type of substance abuse is strictly prohibited. * Maintain and make improvements in currently existing professional skills. Significance of the Elements The elements of the code of ethics that are mentioned above vary from the individual rights of the employees to the rights of the customers. The first two elements talk about the significance of integrity and maintaining of the ethical environment. Both of these elements have a big impact on the overall performance of the employees (Ethics, 2019)-.
