1. From a General Psych class, 40 snake-phobic students were selected and randomly assigned to one of four groups. Group 1 received five sessions of relaxation training; Group 2 received five sessions of imagery training (they imagined several fearful situations); Group 3 received relaxation training and imagery training together; Group 4 received no training at all. Three weeks after, they were given a behavioral avoidance test to determine how close he/she would approach a live snake. The response measured is the distance from the snake in feet. Twenty-three students live on campus and 27 are commuters. Below are the results.
