A t-test is a statistical procedure to determine if two means are significantly different. One sample t-test is conducted to test whether the mean of a population is statistically different from a known or hypothesized value. This project used the IQ scores of 10 college students. The aim was to determine whether college students are more or less intelligent than average. The hypothesized population mean used was 100. The results from SPSS are shown below.
