The Banner Healthcare institution is an excellent patient-centered care and wellness support facility helping patients to use their health plans to the fullest. Banner Healthcare organization meets its patient’s health and medical needs through the inclusion of outstanding services through its compassionate professionals. With its headquarters based in Phoenix Arizona, the facility is considered as one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the state, hence making it a leading hospital service in all the communities it serves. Banner, therefore, provides regional facilities through its branches that serve several rural regions, with many of these establishments being inpatient institutions that are available within these communities.
In 2015, Banner Healthcare merged its operations within the University of Arizona Health Network in Tucson. The backbone of this merger was strategized to enhance academic medicine, teaching, research, and patient care across the institution's facilities. The medical facility remains the largest employer of 50,000 employees, making it the state’s largest employer. Given this, it is necessary to establish that Banner Healthcare institution if one of the leading not-for-profit employers in several communities it serves. This paper seeks to assess Banner healthcare’s readiness to network in addressing the healthcare needs of the population it serves over the next decades. Given this, the paper will incorporate the facilities strategic plans in dealing with some of the pertinent issues that relate to its networking growth, patient satisfaction, nursing staff, and resource management.
Evaluation of Banner Healthcare Institution
Banner health care institution provides comprehensive health care services that benefit several thousands of its clients. The medical facilities commitment is pegged on improving the health and wellness of patients through an approach driven towards motivating health ownership. Building on this principle of ensuring consumers to their services are accountable and empowered; the facility stands at a position to help its employees and stakeholders make moves towards taking ownership of their individual's health plans (Agwunobi & Osborne, 2016). This approach, therefore, combines clinical initiatives, technology, and rewards in a manner that meets the specific needs of its client’s population health goals and requirements. This has seen the facility integrate its approaches in employee work environments, a culture that has resulted in the wellness of the patient populations.
With close to 50,000 employees in more than its 350 branches, the health institution needs to employ innovative approaches to meet its client's health needs. Over time, the facility took approaches aimed at doubling its size through acquisitions, an approach that resulted in significant demographic changes and the growing need to ensure it control its healthcare costs (Agwunobi & Osborne, 2016). However, it is essential to establish that the institution is faced with a major challenge of an unsustainable strategic plan that masks the company’s approaches to addressing the healthcare costs in order to remain committed to its wellness initiatives.
