There has been an increase in immorality and lack of ethics in the workplaces, which is why the students must learn all about ethics and morality, which would help them become better leaders in the future. When describing morality, several terms are used, and they include ethics, moral development, moral reasoning, care, social justice, and social agencies. Ethics affect how people make decisions and lead their lives (Kline, 2013, 32, 5). Ethics is concerned with what is good for the individual, other people and the society at large. If everyone were to have good morals, the world could be a better place. Good ethics lead people to make moral decisions. Moral development can be described as the transformation that occurs in one’s thoughts regarding what one thinks is right and wrong. Since infancy, one is told to do what is right and to avoid doing wrong. However, at some point, one can make the judgment independently depending on what the person regards to be right or wrong. One’s morality develops over a lifetime, and it is mostly shaped by the experience one has faced. Moral reasoning can be defined as the cognitive component of ethical behavior.
