The Case Reports will be graded using the following criteria:
Case report clearly identifies important questions in the business case.
Case report includes conversion of business questions into well-structured questions that can be analyzed statistically.
Case report includes a descriptive analysis of the data from the case study, with appropriate graphical displays as needed.
Case report describes the statistical tests applied to the data. The analysis is driven by the data provided, tried a variety of methods to verify results, and addresses assumptions made in the conclusions.
Case report brings together conclusions from the data analysis and smooths them together into a clearer discussion.
Case report clearly identifies any unusual outcomes from the data analysis, and discusses possibilities for future analysis.
Case report follows the writing conventions set out in the “Preparing the written report” section of the Case Analysis Process document.

The company employs seventy-seven whites compared to six-three non-whites. However, this must not be a cause of alarm since the US has a white population than minorities. The average pay for the white employees at Propter Inc. is $ 3,351.17, while that of the minorities is $ 2,820.63. The difference in salary of $ 530.54 indicates that the white employees are, on average, paid more than the minorities. The data support Mr. Johnson's claim of discrimination.
In analyzing each job group, we find that job grade one, the lowest grade, has a total of 58 employees. Of the 58 employees, 39 are from the minority race, with only 19 being whites. The data shows that the minority forms 67.4% of the employees in the lowest job grade. In grade two, which has a total of 41 employees, the minorities only have 13 employees. The data shows that minorities have only 31.7% of employees in the second job grade. The situation worsens in grade three, where minorities have a low representation of only 21.9%. Again, the data shows that discrimination against minorities is less likely to be promoted.
In analyzing the tenure in each grade, we realize that the average tenure in grade one is 1.85. The minorities have an average tenure of 1.79 while the whites have 1.98. The data shows that the white employees generally took longer in grade one before promotion. Grade two had an average tenure of 3.31, with the whites having 3.34 while minorities had 3.26.
