Introduction
Helix is facing communication problems between the management and the employees. The workers feel that leadership does not appreciate their input. This has lowered morale among the workers which has adversely affected the performance of the company.
Part 1: Situation Analysis
Internal Communication Weaknesses
There is only one-way communication in the company. Here, communication flows from the top management to the employees. The staff members are not allowed to provide feedback to the top management. Instead, they have to follow everything the management requires. There is also no flow of information in the company. The channels of communication are not effective which hinders information from reaching the intended target.
External Communication Weaknesses
The communication with stakeholders like suppliers, customers, and shareholders is poor. The company does not provide them with the required information. When the company makes any communication, it does not reach the indented audience because of the wrong choice of a communication channel. Further, the communication is not up-to-date which makes the stakeholders lack crucial information about what is happening in the company.
