“The Epic of Gilgamesh” is an educational account artistically crafted to reveal the inevitability of mortality. This story is narrated in a heightened language that demands close and attentive reading. Gilgamesh, the epic hero begins a quest for knowledge which he deems is clouded by his ignorance.
