Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Norwegian wood which was written by Haruki Murakami in 1987 published by Kodansha publishers is a coming of age story which focuses on Toru Watanabe, the protagonist that hears a fragment of the Beatles track after a long airplane flight. Toru’s life is highly complicated as this novel revolves around the manner that he dealt with the death of his best friend Kizuki, and the manner that this affects his relationships and his perceptions towards love (Murakami, 1987). The author also concentrates on the disconnected nature of the life of Toru and his long-time love interest Naoko and demonstrates their expeditions throughout University and their mental anguish.
