Book Review Instructions:
The review of literature should contain evidence that supports the need for the proposed paper which was written in assignment 1 and annotated in assignment 2. An important dimension of this will be the validity/reliability of the literature to be used in building the manuscript. The template will be provided for you as well as an example.
To build on the annotated reference list previously submitted, a table of evidence (TOE) will be created and submitted using the template. The TOE is a tool to summarize, organize, critique, and synthesize important supporting information/evidence from multiple research studies. Ensure you have included original research studies and not only review articles. It will be used as the scholarly basis to complete the manuscript. The depth and breadth of the review will be based on the topic and negotiated with the course faculty. Be sure to apply (and cite) the criteria based on the critical analysis of literature readings and what you learned in the nursing research class. Ensure that all columns/categories are completed on the TOE – there should be no section left blank. For example, it is NOT acceptable to state “none” or “N/A” if limitations are not addressed by the authors of the article. The TOE is based on the articles that you wrote about in the annotated bibliography.
