In the article “We are so Forked” by Jenny Luna, she makes a case for the world to consider doing away with plastic cutlery. Luna notes that plastic cutlery continues to be an eyesore because of the littering that happens after using such cutlery (1). She also mentions the danger plastic cutlery poses on wildlife, noting that sea animals end up getting hurt by the disposed plastic (2). The above also greatly impacts seafood, which means that man’s survival is also threatened because of plastic. Luna also delves deeper into the option of biodegradable cutlery. She notes that even though biodegradable options are legit, they may not degrade completely, thus creating another mess while trying to solve another (3). Luna does present a strong case for making people denounce their use of plastic cutlery. Throughout the article, she makes use of ethos, pathos, and logos in how she presents her ideas.
