Subject: Cutting ties with all companies involved in child labor in the Chinese market
Following the media reports and the company’s investigations it has been established that some of the suppliers from china are involved in child labor. Some of the key elements that have come from the report finalized on 2nd of July 2017, include poor pay for workers, children working in some of the companies with ages as low as 12. Staff working for more than 12 hours a day without overtime and some of the companies treating their workers to deplorable conditions, that is a danger to their safety and more importantly their health (Blagdon, 2013).
The company is from today, 5th July 2017, seizing any current contracts with companies which are mentioned in the final report. This is in reference to the company policies which have since been violated by the suppliers mentioned. The department is therefore requested to make the necess...
