The society need to accept that there exists a challenge as far learning is involved for the boy child in the United States. Gurian from when he was teaching in the 1990s there were problems in regards to boys education, the problem still exists even today. In the industrial schooling, men have been entrenched as being the gender that is dominant for very many years in the education system. The domination and achievement of women than men in the education system is a crucial topic to study for use to understand the potential consequences of this phenomenon to the family especially marriage, labor markets, politics among other issues.
A few decades ago there was a huge educational gap between the boys and the girls. Very few girls compared to boys were able to achieve high education in institutions of higher learning in America. However, due to conscious efforts and campaign by gender women and others the number of girls in the institutions of learning has grown to the point that girls are more than boys are. It is now important that this focus is now put on helping the boy child.
In the United States the completion of high school education marks that one can now access any form of postsecondary education available. A huge number of youths are cancelled out from eligibility from accessing college because they did not complete their high school. This means that the individuals with low level of education will have challenges accessing to jobs.
