The article is speaking about the power of the woman born in a patriarchal society where some women have been hooked by this arrangement in the community and are forced to depend on their male counterparts. As they rely on them, they are easily swayed in the way the male gender and cannot move forward in life. She mentions that attempts to combine both male and female to work together have resulted in a failure she refers to as pseudo-integrity. Feminist theorists over the years have also tried to describe the integrity of a woman, but because these theorists live in a patriarchal society, they distort the integrity of the woman. He mentions that males in the community have deeply identified themselves as controllers, possessors and inhibitors women who want to progress. “The rapist breaks into the matter, rips and tears yet move further from being of his victim. This culture of split consciousness is the world of sado-masochism.” Mary goes into deeper lengths to bring knowledge to women so that it can set them free from a patriarchal arranged society. She notes that “For many years I have plundered treasures of knowledge which were stolen and hidden from women (p.646)”.” She hopes women will use this information as a tool to liberate themselves from such a society. Her search for this information was enabled by her skill that is strong, a force that allows her to report events using philosophical theories which she refers to as witchcraft (p.647).
