The article quite substantially explains differences that can be found when evaluating applied behavior analysis and to non-applied research. In the case of the applied behavior tends to evaluate the behavior changes when they occur through observations. This is to mean that, a behaviorist will have to first observe the condition that triggered the changes in the behavior of a person and how they react to the same after the trigger is introduced. This is an aspect that the author of the article clearly demonstrates and even gives examples with regard to how a student would report a disruptive behavior that they have observed.
However, the section that explains the non-applied research does not come out clearly compared to the aforementioned section. There is very little information that can be gathered from the article by the audience to understand what the difference between the applied and the non-applied behavior analysis is. Much of the information on the article explains in detail about how applied can be identified and how it is applicable in the different situations. However the write does give quite a number of examples to try and explain to the audience about the applied behavior analysis phenomenon.
