Annotated Bibliography. Europe And Use Of The Main E-tourism Platforms

Purpose: As a researcher, you need to find sources on which to base your thesis and your paper. An annotated bibliography is a piece of writing in which you cite, summarize and evaluate sources.To write this paper, you will need to review and evaluate sources relevant to your topic and reflect on how those sources could influence writing your persuasive research paper. You will ask yourself questions and may need to adjust your working thesis some conclusions drawn from your reading.



Directions:

You will write an annotated bibliography (AB) using 3 sources. You first need to select sources that are from credible sources- books, magazines, newspapers, or journals. Please do not use blog sites or Wikipedia as your sources. Once you have found 3 credible sources, you will read these sources thoroughly. You will then cite them using MLA format (models will be provided below). Underneath the citation you will compose an annotation. These annotations should be approximately 1 paragraph (200 - 400 words) per source. Remember to treat them as independent paragraphs.



It is the hope that by completing this assignment, you will find credible sources to use in your persuasive research paper. This is not always the case, however, and there is no penalty for not using these resources in your persuasive or argumentative research papers.



When evaluating sources for your annotated bibliography, think about the following questions:



1. What is the main point of the article? - Summarize the main points; focus on the thesis of the article.

2. How does this article address the thesis of your research paper? Restate your working thesis and how each article addresses it

3. How could you use this article in your persuasive paper? Where, what section(s) - introduction, body or conclusion) would it be appropriate? Why?

4. What challenges or bias does the article have? Think about some of the "threats to validity". In what ways could there be bias? Who is the author? Where and when was it published? Who is the audience? You will need to explain how the some of the answers could influence the reader.
