Culture contact, cultural ecology, and Dani warfare is an article written by Paul Shank man at the University of Colorado in early 1990s. His journal article discusses warfare, cultural ecology, rituals, human ecology and culture contact among the Dani community of the New Guinea. Paul Shackman derives contrasting view towards the warfare experienced by Dani communities. According to Shankman’s article the warfare was a pre-contact phenomenon which was founded on ecological basis.
