PS560-1: Summarize the relationship between fundamental concepts in Applied Behavior Analysis and goals of applied practice.
PS560- 2: Explain how respondent conditioning paradigms influence an organism's behavior.
PS560-3: Explain how operant conditioning paradigms influence an organism’s behavior.
PC 6.2: Communicate the critical thinking process by which one arrives at a conclusion.
Using Figure 1.3 ("Improving People's Quality of Life from A to Z") in Chapter 1 of Cooper et al. (2020), select three different areas of practice where Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) can be effectively used to enhance the quality of life in real-world settings. You will use this template, formatted like an Annotated Bibliography, to organize your information. For each area selected, locate and summarize a recent peer-reviewed journal article (not included in the course readings) that illustrates how an ABA-based intervention improved an individual's quality of life.
Under each article summary, refer to your course readings to briefly discuss at least three specific key points that support how the intervention's procedures and results reflect the application of fundamental ABA principles in producing behavior change.
Writer, Please this paper can not use AI and needs to not be plagarized. This is crucial for my grade. Thank you. I have the template that is needed for this assigment so I will send it to you.

Interventions of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
Introduction
One of the fields of research that deals with the investigation and improvement of socially significant behaviour is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), which involves the systematic application of empirically valid behavioural constructs. Based on the theory of respondent conditioning and operant conditioning, it can be argued that ABA is a model of explaining how behaviour is learned, maintained, and changed within a natural environment, as well as giving practitioners a chance to design interventions that would allow individuals to live meaningful lives and behave on a meaningful level. As Figure 1.3 in Cooper et al. (2020) proves, the application of ABA is widely applicable in a broad scope with educational, health, and organizational systems being only some of them. The principles are applied to the behaviour change, which is measurable and socially relevant. The adequate combination of central concepts, such as reinforcement, control of stimuli, shaping, and functional review, along with the clear objectives that are aimed at independence, safety, and meaningful involvement, makes ABA effective in the practice implementation. Three of the practice areas as depicted in Figure 1.3 will be critically analyzed in the assignment where there is discussion of the recent peer-reviewed studies, which currently offer the use of the ABA-based interventions to improve the quality of life. The interventions will be put in context accordingly to the sphere background in terms of conceptual understanding.
Article 1 (Education - Peer-Mediated Intervention).
Zhang, B., Liang, S., Chen, J., Chen, L., Chen, W., Tu, S.,... & Chu, L. (2022). The efficacy of peer-mediated intervention of social skills in children with Autism spectrum disorder: a randomized controlled trial. Translational Pediatrics, 11(5), 663.
Summary
As stated in the mentioned research, it is a randomized controlled study that compared a structured peer-mediated intervention (PMI) to an early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) control group among children with mild to moderate autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The peers in PMI who are in the process of regular development have been trained to utilise discrete prompts, modelling, reinforcement, and scaffolding when playing and creating routines in school. The social skills standardised test and direct observation of social initiations and responses were among the outputs. The PMI group statistically and clinically improved as compared to the EIBI group because it experienced increased social communication, social motivation, and reduced interfering behaviours during post-treatment and short-term follow-up. The authors argue that PMI improved social ecology (peer availability, natural contingencies) that supported generalization and ensured social gains.
Comments on the Fundamentals of ABA
Conditioning: The PMI also included contingencies; positive social reinforcement (contingent upon attention, having access to play) was given by peers to aid social initiations and responses, and as a result, stimulated socially adaptive behavior through positive reinforcement. It is an immediate implementation of the rules of operant reinforcement. The manipulation of consequences and the response rate, which was calculated during the study, is a fair measure of operant control.
Transfer of stimulus control and prompting: The prompts were faded gradually, allowing innate stimuli (such as the rules of the game and turn-taking signals) to govern the child's responding. The authors emphasize the application of the ABA focus on stimulus control and generalization programming, highlighting the need to promote its implementation in the classroom environment. It is better than a mere description of things, since, through the RCT design, these social contingencies being manipulated are isolated as the causal factor.
Measurement, social validity, and ecological impact: The objective measures and direct observation data (rate of initiations/responses) used in the study conform to ABA requirements with respect to objective measurement and social significance of the target behaviors. The authors also provided social validity, which also advances the argument that the behavior change was translated to a significant change in quality of life (inclusion, friendship). Methodologically, it is a s...
