Project 2: Annotated Bibliography This week, you will submit an annotated bibliography for two (2) of your sources for the final project. One source should be scholarly and from the San Jacinto College Library; the 2nd source is your choice. Read the instructions for the final project so you know what kind of sources you’ll need for the analysis. Ideally, you'll find both sources from the resources you collected for Project 1 and possibly even from what you found during the Module 3 Discussion, but if those resources don't pan out, don't fret. Furthermore, the sources should be about the topic you chose during Module 2 and researched about during our Module 3 Discussion Forum. This assignment is focused not only on presenting your two favorite sources on the topic, sources you want to use for Project 3, but also on learning how to cite correctly and write an annotation. Each source (listed in alphabetical order) should have: a complete and correctly formatted Works Cited or References entry for the citation style you are using, an annotation, which should be a paragraph summarizing and evaluating the article of at minimum 100 words. The annotation should contain the following: Information about the author's credentials and/or publisher's credibility. Value of the source to your final project. Summary of what the source says, especially regarding what will be helpful for your project. Write in third person only. It's a good idea to include a signal phrase, direct quote or paraphrase, and a parenthetical citation within each summary. To format your Works Cited or References entries, refer to the MLA or APA guides we discussed in Module 4. You may use the "cite this source" option if there's one available in the database you're using, just be sure to check that you're citing it with MLA or APA, as applicable. Include the article's web link (the https address—not just the doi) at the end of your Works Cited entry. Just copy and paste it from your web browser if it is not already included. Examples are shown in the attached Template (which you will download) and Sample (which is attached to show you an example of what a good submission looks like). Submit your assignment as a pdf file. Use the template provided. You can save the template with a title like this: Your Name_Annotated Bib.
